Day 29 – 100 Happy Days

I’ve been trying to avoid food pictures, but some days are just crappy and cooking can be a fun distraction. If I cooked it, it’s pretty much like practicing an art, right? Lolz.
I made this scrappy rendition of chicken 65 with a few materials on hand. Cubed boneless skinless thighs, tahini, red chill flakes, salt, black pepper, and Tapatìo hot sauce. I let it marinate for a bit, then tossed in a little flour and gave it a final mix. Fry it in inch-deep oil. Garish with sesame seeds and more red chili flakes. It turned out surprisingly well!

Day 28 – 100 Happy Days

Life is transient. School, jobs, things, people come and go. These floor pillows have been with me for four years now. So many stories, so many pots of tea, so many friends staying over and crashing on these pillows. Life may be transient, but these pillows are mine forever (let’s hope).

Day 23 – 100 Happy Days

Green tea and Interpreter of Maladies. These short stories are spectacular. I’ve never felt so emotionally conflicted from reading before. Oftentimes I’ll stop mid-paragraph, look up, exhale deeply, and ponder life. Ms. Lahiri, you inspire me to write more myself.
